Hi everyone,

You've seen me posting around the place, and as i said. I was waiting on the introduction till i got some photo's to show you all. So here is my Into.

Name: Keiran
Age: 23
Car: Silver 2007 Astra SRi Turbo
Last Car: Slightly modified 1988 Honda Prelude 4ws
Mods: None... Wasn't planning any... Plans are sort of changing....;)
Mods i am toying with: Mainly suspension and handling mods, I want to get back to the direct handling feel of the prelude.

Well tonight i was bored, took the car down to the local servo carwash and had some fun, chamoised her all up... Looking Hot! Went for a drive to find some nice photo locations and it started raining... But i'm stubborn as an Ox!

Enjoy the fruits of my labour:

Looks good in the silver mate.

Definately look into getting some lowered springs for the car. It will completely change the feel of the ride. Plenty of mods starting to get out there now.

Yeah, I dont want to go crazy on it. But i'm thinking H&R Lowering kit, rear sway, maybe front strut if that gives me too much oversteer. Just need to stiffen the thing up and get rid of this damn body roll.

Probably going to the track in feb, so i'll see how she goes then make my decision.

The prelude is lowered 2" and on 17's... It is on rails around corners! Just hasn't got the balls i want these days.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

That pic didn't quite come out as i would have liked.. the lights are too bright in it. Was working with my crappy Olympus, and the rain was reflecting them a bit. You should see how many i deleted to get 10 decent pics.

I'll go out for a drive with my mate one night and take some better ones with his DSLR.

I have heard the H&R's are very good. You could also try to get some Eibach's. Or a cheaper option is some Kings. I have Pedders in mine (which are the same as the Kings) and they do a great job.

Hi and welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy your purchase and find the website (and us hopefully) helpful:) . There are a few of us here with the AH Turbo... and as others have said, mods are very slowly starting to pop up. Personally I'm waiting to see how other's mods go... before going ahead with mine. I understand what you mean though with the body roll though...

As Ishley said, they are the obvious options for suspension atm. From what ive read on here and UK sites, I don't think there's been any issues with lowering and the IDS+ (suspension) malfunctioning... which is a good sign.

Possibly look at putting your car up in the member's section... then you can keep us posted on how things go

Yeah, reliability is a must for me. I am going to have a chat to holden and see what they say about lowering it. I have read somewhere that they claim it can go up to 30mm lower on the IDS+ shocks without problems. I'm only looking to go a little. Supposedly the H&K system is about 15mm, which is exactly what i'm after. Not really looking to lower it for the looks, i sort of got over a low car with the prelude (it's on the deck!), I just want to springs for the handling aspect.

Also glad whiteline have got off their ass and done a rear sway, I was thinking i'd have to give my car over as the donor to get one made.

Thanks for all the other welcome messages guys. I joined NSW forum tonight, shaun.

Any chance you play soccer somewhere up here? I'm trying to find a new team. Just moved to the area and Cronulla is a bit of a trek for training.

If i try to do all three at once i'll probably crash into you... that's one hand on the horn... one out the window... and my right knee flashing the high beams. Hehe
