Emission Light General Discussion

Ive had the engine light on (without the spanner) for a while and have tried twice to fix the problem but to no avail.:(

when i take it to my local mechanic he plugs in the tech2 and it comes up as ' fuel trim malfuction' bank 1.....

now i did some research and found that it could be the o2 sensors.... wrong!!! after 300 on new sensors its starting to piss me off and getting pretty expensive!!

the cars performance had not been compremised but it just iritates me when i see that enigine light on the dash.

any ways im out of ideas so i thought i would throw it to you guys...

what do you all think?

You here about this sort of thing all the time when you start doing serious engine mods to Astra T's unfortunately.....

Maybe Nik (BR) can help - or maybe bring it up or search on the U.K. Astra forums, they might have a fix ??

Maybe even ring up/email a couple of O/S tuners (Courteneys or Regals) and ask them the question...

If your convinced all is ok, you could always pull the warning lamp out....

sounds to me that the fuel timing in your haltech is wrong maybe set to high or low, as that is what fuel trim is.

Get your tuner to look at the fuel settings.
