Evo of course!

People should try and find it at the larger newsagencies. It poops over Topgear mag.

I think the best is Top Gear. Not easy to find but lots of fun to read.
Wheels is so Holden-ised is not funny. When the VE was launched they spent months before and after singing the praise of the new Commodore. On the other hand, the new Mondeo, a class leader in Europe, didn't make the front cover.
Motor seem to be a bit unstructured for my liking. That's just me, I couldn't put a finger on what I don't like about them...
So yeah, it has to be Top Gear for me.

motor or wheels if you love hearing about how great holden/ford is, depending on who paid for the most advertising that year...

i read autosalon for car modding porn, top gear for creative journalism/exotic car porn.

Hot4's and fastfours etc are a bit ricey but still some/most of the cars are amazing technically. Street commodore now THATS a magazine......haha....yeah right...nah wheels over motor and the top gear mag is fantastic

i subscribe to Zoom and fast fours.
Yes fast fours got a bit ricey (actually alot) at one stage, but they have a new editor now, and has promised no rice. So far he been true to his word too. Last few issues have been very good, and improving each time.
I guess it's what your into. I also enjoy reading Motor and Wheels, as we have them at work, but usually prefer reading about modified cars (particularly Rotors ;))

Used to be a massive Autosalon fan, loved my rice.
Now I pick up Wheels every now and again for my car mag fix. Can't say i've heard of Top Gear Mag, will have to look out for that one.

NZ Autocar.

Mainly I think because it’s relative to NZ and because they don’t have hero cars and dont feature the same old crap (Ford/Holden) month to month as Ausi car mags seem to.

Agree with most of the above....

Can't exactly put my finger on it, but between Wheels and Motor, I've always felt Wheels is the better mag.

Both have their share of absolute bullshit articles to fill up the pages, but IMO Motor cut the cake on this one especially with some of their ridiculous car class comparos and end conclusions...

I really like scanning through the pages of mags like Auto Salon, Fast fours, Street Machine etc. if you skip past all the ricey and tacky advertising stuff, they have some interesting articles of hardware and good high tech knowledge/articles.

Have only read a Top Gear mag on a couple of occaisions and thought it was ok.

I think they're all crap, to be honest. They'll print pages and pages on the latest Holden or Falcon (which are just sold to fleets anyway), and barely a half-page on anything else. And they mostly test high-performance turbocharged this or that which sell by the dozens, and largely ignore the real volume sellers that real drivers buy.

I get my information on my next car to buy mostly from overseas sites on the net, and I haven't bought an Australian car magazine in a decade.

I used to buy Motor, Wheels, Hot4s, Fast 4s, Zoom, HPI, Unique Cars, Evo and some times Car and Top Gear untill I realised that it was costing me a fortune and my cupboard was full. Now I have reduced down to only buying Motor on a regular basis and I only buy the others when there is something that really catches my eye. I think Motor has a good blend of cars I like and writting I enjoy.
As for Motors kind words for Holden in recent times, maybe the new Commodore is just a good fast cheap car.

Well summed up.

If I want some mindless escapism for a long boring plane flight I tend to buy Car magazine from the UK. It's similar to Wheels, but (mostly) without a Falcadore in sight.

I've spent the last year or so getting into AutoSpeed, which bills itself as an online mag.
