I think if HSV add them to the rang i may invest in a set.

Good idea, they look heaps better like that, but rather than invest in or buy a set of those, just get the same thing done to 'your' rims :)

Lots of places around that can do that for you ;)

My OPC arrived yesterday!!!! However I will only be able to collect it on the 11th of January, as I am still at sea. My wife went to take some pics yesterday. She will go for a test drive today or tomorrow and take better pics. I can't wait to get home!!!

agree..black piano not a good look! and I prefer the checkered trim on the dash instead of plain silver. I also prefer our VXR spoiler;)

I thought people knew about the shadow look on the rims!! I'm not sure i like them or the piano black finish, especially on the steering wheel... all the fingerprints and dust!! More prefer the original VXR dash with the carbon fibre look, silver dash and normal wheels. I suppose change is inevitable though...:)

The change to Piano black happened at the start of 2007. The rims are what i was more so pointing out. VXR Astra now come with Push button starters now standard too i believe.

Agree shaun, the rims look hot, i have always been a fan of shadow chrome, thinking of spraying my rims black...... and i have never been a fan of the piano black dash... nor the silver trims, what happened to the carbon fibre?

Can the push start can be fitted after market?

Now that's great addition (ie: the push button starter) both a very cool and a practical feature, I'll bet there'll be plenty of current VXR owners doing that mod :)

Push button starters look like becoming standard on most new cars....

I wonder however if this will make it to Oz ?? as I know of some new model cars delivered to the U.S are having this feature deleted.

The push start was always an option on the AH range overseas. I think it'll be a bit of messing around to get it looking like factory though.

As for the rims, gotta see them in person. But I do like the factory VXR ones as is. :)

Agreed, the silver 19's look good .

also there is another option on the vxr's overseas, something about not needing to press unlock button on the key to open the doors - if you walk upto the car with the key in ur pocket and press where the key hole is it opens????????? Porsches are like this - i would have paid extra for this if it was available!!

I think those wheels pictured in post #1 are the same silver as normal, but with a diamond cut machined face job - if so, as I've mentioned, you can get that done to your rims at certain machine shops....

The feature your talking about above is beginning to be seen on alot of new Japanese models, the new Evo has it, one guy on the Evo forum who already has an Evo 10 says it's very useful :)

Damn, I thought the push button sarter may have been omitted from Oz models, why do we always miss out on some of the coolest stuff ??? :(

Should be do-able as a DIY mod though, if you get a hold of all the right factory hardware :)
