Does anybody know if these 19" wheels are still available?? They are optional/standard fare overseas. I think they look fantastic.

1362
1361

Previously they have been an option here in Aus... and when I look in the latest brochure I see they apparently are still an option. I'd be looking at a price just for the rims... tyres I would sort out

1363

What do you all think of them?? Any comments welcome...:)

They used to be standard on the HSV astra VXR`s....but holden put them on the sri-t for the car show. they should still be available. try a HSV dealer.

ps: The astra looks so much nicer with the Opel badge!! damn lion...haha

Yeah i know... i'm in the process of ordering the new grille now. Never been that keen on the chrome:)

Holy Crap!! You reckon?? I was thinking maybe 3K. Although those 235/35/19 tyres will up the price a lot. Hmm...

If you really want them, you should be able to get em, if not from Holden, then from O/S - but be prepared to pay BIG either way....

If the price approaches anywhere near 5k or over and your prepared to pay that much, I strongly suggest looking at a set of custom made alloys, as you'll get a set of these for around 5-6k, they'll look nicer than those above and be unique :)

USC

im sure they will have some smashed vxr`s in the uk with those alloys on...it will be hard to get them though!

If your going to get em from O/S they might as well be new - the main BIG cost will be in the shipping ;)

BTW USC I have some info for you on that Jap supply place in Dandenong - I'll PM it to you 2night :)

The honeycomb mesh definitely looks nicer, but I prefer the standard nice chrome V grille centre compared to that colour coded Opel one there....

I like both colour coded Opel and Vauxhall grilles. The thing is I don't drive an HSV nor a Vauxhall... so the Opel one i still like and it fits in with what the car actually is:)

In my eyes the V grille looks much nicer/classier, not really more agressive than the Opel one :)

They arent thr Standard rims from a VXR. They are a 19inch rim used in South Africa on the OPC though. Holden Had them fitted to a SRi T Pictured above at the Australian International Motorshow in Sydney Last Year. Ring Holden and see what they come up with.

Melb Motor Show that Miz took a photo had a sticker price on the window for the rims, something like $3500 with tyres.

The Snowflakes do look nice though. I also like the Pentas. And I also like the VXR/OPC rims too! :D

Get the grilles, be different. ;) Make sure you get the foggy ones and ditch the cheapo plastic covers.

I'm trying to decide either to keep the standard grille or change it. Cant make up my mind.

Is that the price for the rims ordered through Spare Parts or the "upgrade" price for the rims if you purchase a new Astra with them on it?

Bloody hell, this is all entirely useless!! At least $4000 for wheels on a Holden... nah ah. Won't be doing that at all. Im now reconsidering everything. Ive just got the delivered price from my source overseas who got me my previous grille on the Barina. He's quoted me $454 for four centre Opel caps for the current AH Turbo 18" rims and the replacement Opel grille shown in the pics... which is unpainted!!

So that means...

$454 for the grille and centre caps... (imported)
$282 for the entire VXR look across the bottom from Holden (including honeycombe lower grille and chrome foglight surrounds and bezels)

=$736 including an unpainted grille.

I'm giving up on all of this!! Admittedly they're all genuine parts from dealers, but unless someone can help me with cheaper genuine parts... i don't know what to do. I don't really use Ebay... so i'm stuck

The AH SRiT Holden had on display at the Brisbane Motorshow was exactly the same as the one pictured. Including the price of $3500 for the 19inch wheels (didnt mention anything about tyres).

This week got a quote for new tyres (Pirelli Dragons), and new wheels, as i am up for new tyres. I was quoted $3000 for a set of 4 18inch wheels and 4 Pirelli Dragons (these are slighty cheaper then the DunFlops that come standard on the SRiT)!

If $3500 includes tyres aswell. May well be worth the money. I have NEVER seen these wheels on ANY Astra over here! And i love them

mmm, you could be onto something there, to me they look better than the 19's on our VXR's - it is a pity about the cost, but then all factory wheels are ridiculously priced, you may have to fork out if you REALLY want them, as they're not common, there's little very chance of finding s/h ones floating around locally !

*LOL* Yup! It's costly to Opelise. I paid 100 pounds for the entire VXR lower grilles from UK which included postage. So a touch over $200. I knew the upper grille will be costly. Hence why so many go for the Irmscher grilles.

These 19" snowflake wheels are a huge hit in the UK & Europe, have been so now for 2-3yrs.

This snowflake design is also available (in the UK,EU) in 18' form but are 6 spoke. In fact, Opel have them as standard fit on the OPC Vectra & possibly the Astra where as Vauxhall VXR's come standard with 19's but in different design.

Are you serious mate?? I can get one (lower grill) from my Holden dealer for $40.00NZ.. I would have to cat out the holes on one side as an effort not to block the I/C. Im saving up to do the lower OPC lip at the same time as mine is already shagged after a few curb incidents..

I’ll get a price on some OPC 19’s next time im there for interests sake.

I like the stock 18’s and think the car rides harsh enough as it is plus 19’s would only add more wight to what is already a heifer of a car

Believe so. Maybe sportscoupehsv could find out from us. If a few of us really want them, I'm sure a group buy wouldn't be a problem. The prob is that it was a $3K option from memory at the Melb Motorshow (even the misses flipped when she saw the price). Cant see them getting under $2K even with a group discount.

I have at a dealer when I was pricing up a SRI last year

they are on the dealer system

i think the ones you are talking about el burito are the 19" 5 spoke snowflakes (ie the same ones that were on the srit at the motor show - not the ones pictured above).

the ones pictured above are off a VXR overseas and are 18" and six spoke, and as far as im aware have never seen available here.

And here's the one that was at the Melbourne Motor Show ( look on page 1 of this thread, in silver)... which is now for sale in Port Melbourne.

Must be the only one in Australia with those wheels. I'd say they did some deal for the person who bought it as they were put on it for the Motor Show. Could always just ring and ask they guy...

I know!! idiots!

oh the finger nails..not sure if u have seen the rear quarter window trims in the ah coupe but they arent the best quality, specially the edge closer to the tailgate....looked like someone stuck their nail in and put a gap in between the rubber and the glass...u `d have to be as fussy as me to notice that though:p ..and they were finger nail marks on the trims like they were testing a pear or something..lol
