The Coupe door weighs a tonne, it nearly chopped my leg off once when it closed on my knee lol

The first week I had the VXR i closed my thumb in the door at the fuel bowser. The door was completely closed with my thumb trapped in the cavity. Thought i had sliced my thumb off.... Chiped bone and throbbing thumb that hurt severly, nail eventually came off and my thumb has been deformed ever since... stupid door.....

yeh, agree, the coupe doors are stupidly big and heavy..can`t park in a tight space!!

Strangely enough the cars who originally have those sorta doors usually have framed windows. It would be quite hard to ensure a proper seal around the windows without a frame.

I was gonna say - what the hell are you guys on about LOL, Lambo style doors look mad/fantastic on any car !!!! :)

If only we had a specialist/experienced/quality installer here in Melb. or at least in Vic. somewhere, I'd already have this conversion done to at least 2 of my cars :)

There is an experienced installer in NSW, but I don't want to have to go there and wait for around 2 weeks while they do the job :(

IMHO they look equally good on frameless or framed doors.... :)

The LSD (Lambo Style Doors) kit is a good one, I looked into it years ago, they are fully engineered and TUV approved, most kits also open up to around 25-30 degrees before going up, so you can get in and out without having to lift the door up, (ie: provided your built like a tank) and only lift em up Lambo style whenever the occaision calls for it :D

the lsd doors actually doesn't look bad on the astra h.
it would b nice though if the door had frameless windows - would require less of a height clearance.

frameless like on the cally ;)
requires a lot of modification, and once done cant go back.

Really? Only if the window is down... if its up it wouldn't make terribly much difference except it you hit something. Then, pow, your window is gone.
