Hi guys, just need to do some primary research for a product idea;

Its for a business plan in an MBA course - nothing else.

If i could say invent an iPod connector for all Canbus installed cars that allowed you to connect a usb media device or ipod would you buy it if you had the following options;

1. FM Modulator - $50
2. CANBUS patch - $150-200 - power is supplied, inputs audio to headunit, can change tracks on ipod/usb device, install could be done by user, in most cases would be professionally installed
3. Install after market headunit
4. do nothing - Just use mp3 cd, normal audio and FM radio

CANBUS is form of Electronics. Basically without going to an indepth post CANBUS uses a fast link and slow link. (rvereting to the slow link in the event of the fast link failing) All computers send signals to one enough feeding and reading information to run correctly.

I have also since learned there are 3 types of languages/protocals/variations to CANBUS System and it is not 100% universal as i first thought.
It also seems that the only supplier of CANBUS H/U is Blaupunkt!!! not surprised since they are owned by Bosch
