Opelizing Astra the cheap way, couldnt i just use this?

Hey guys,

A few people here have done opelising on the astra the cheap way (removing badge/mounting plate on the front grille and making another mounting plate using some black plastic and then putting the opel badge on)

I saw this item for putting the opel badge on Irmscher grilles, couldnt this be used using the method above but it would eliminate the need to make your own mounting plate? and hence look neater.

You remove the holden lion and the original mounting plate... lol

Do the same thing everyone does to cheaply opelise the AH Astra, but instead of making a mounting plate from random plastic you use this kit as it comes with a mounting plate...

is the holden lion moulded into the plastic like the barinas?

that thing wouldnt work because you make the plastic round cover, to cover up all the pin holes. in fact i lost count of how many holes there were after i took off the mounting plate

Did you need to remove the grille or did it with it on the car?

If i take off the badge/mounting plate to have a look can it be put back on?

Does it look pretty stock standard mate? like doesnt look like a home job just by looking at it?

Wish you had a camera, would have eliminated many questions :)

if i had a photo i'd show you mine... granted it is on a barina, but by no means does it look like a home job, just doesn't have the gaps in the badge continuing on through the grill.. still looks good imo..

yes we did our astra like that! doesnt look too bad
