Mutant Opels

Just wondering if anyone else have seen Opels which just look completely different to what you would expect?? I'm not talking about a 4 door astra with just a set of turbo wheels but things which make them look out of the ordinary..

I have seen a few..

One night i was walking up to what i thought was my car pressed the button on my keys and the car infront lit up.. The car i was standing infront of was a 1.8L SXi Astra with an SRi bodykit including fog lights, front lip, wheels and rear spoiler..?? It was also a weird shade of blue i'd never seen before but seemed to look stock..? I was pretty confused... would he have bought the body kit with the car?? wheels and all???

I saw an Astra G SRi (I Think??) it had the SRi badges and 2.2 on the back no spoiler or holes where it would have been screwed in and it had Cdx wheels and 4 doors??? WHAT What what????

And something i'd never seen before on the road or on opelaus... A FOUR DOOR BEEP BEEP BARINA!! ZOMG?? THEY COME IN 4 DOOR??

What Opels have you seem that made you look twice and think 'Huh???' :confused:

Well, not really a mutant, but the factory Barina or Corsa (which ever it is) van looks like a mutant LOL :D

Very weird looking vehicle, always spins me out whenever I see one :)

hold on, is he talking about 4 door (SB, XC) sedan or 5 door HATCHBACK barina? if it was hatchback then its a 5 door hatchback and they are pretty standard, a 4 door barina sedan (SB, XC) is definiately something not seen before...

Looks good, but so wrong........what an identity crisis, Opel merged with Audi :)

IMO I think it's ok using little bits n pices from other cars, but when you put an entire front end on from 'another' make, it 'bastardises' the original car a bit too much...

TS was the limited edition Astra/Kadett F with the C20LET. also used on the turbo calibra.

Umm looks like a hatch to me, and the 4 door and 2 door share the same wheelbase so it's
the same length!!!!

But a very tidy looking Astra, much much better than standard with subtle modifications!!!

Yes it is Steve, mentioned that in one of my posts :) spewing we didn't get the full TS colour range here - it totalled around 12 or 13 colours for the vert !

It's tiger mica, same as on our VT/VX Commos and agree with you, it looks fantastic on the verts (ie: normal or tastefully modded ones).....although that one could've been resprayed - who knows ?? it does kind of look like 'Fusion orange' ??
