I just can't quite put my finger on it, but it looks different to my engine bay....

Oh that's it.... Dipstick is in the wrong spot.

i second that. You need to get the spray cans out and brighten up that engine bay 8)

I have mine black, with those markers on top of the cylinders silver and opel in gloss black so it stands out with the opel flash, sher has seen it, i painted it mself

Its more than likely a C20XE (redtop 150 bhp) engine guys :twisted:

it also has a turbo on it if you look on the right had side you can see bits that your find on a turbo car

Looking at the way the engine is sat I would say that it's fitted with throttle bodies (Left) and if anything a supercharger is in use as all the pipes seem to lead to a belt driven compressor.

throttle bodies and a turbo i have seen this car at a show its got a lot of bhp he is a memember of www.vxlscc.co.uk the turbo in blowing air in to the throttle bodies if i remember nice car as well how much did that cost him for that engine ? about £8k i would say

Cool!, there is every chance i will view this car in September at Billing (the biggest Vaux meet held in UK) 8)
