I was wondering what was the best drive away price anyone has paid for a CDTI manual.
I am seriously considering getting one. Are the AH08 series out yet?

I got mine brand new for $29,590 drive away, including one year rego, 18" alloys ($2,700 option, incl. tyres), pearlescent black (a so called metallic colour), window tint and rubber mats.
You can check here for discounts (http://www.discountnewcars.com.au/Holden/Holden-Astra-CDTi-5-Door-1-9.cfm)

There are two elements to new car pricing: discount and inflation. Inflation is the over-valuation on a trade-in, if you have one. Typically dealers avoid discounts, because it is too easy to say 'Fred's Holden gave me three thousand off...'. Instead, inflating the value of a trade-in is more rubbery. And as the potential buyer, the bottom line is the change-over price, not the discount or the trade-in valuation.
I got a discount on my SRi 2.2, but the dealer also inflated my trade-in, which made the deal quite affordable.
