Oh my God, that wagon is killer, looks so bloody fantastic, so much better than the sedan, i want one!!! Such a great looking car, doesn't look like the family spec things we've seen previously with Commodores!!

But i'll have none of this BioFuel rubbish, put my V8 back under the hood dammit!!!!

That wagon would fill the other vacant space in my future garage next to my '08/'09 Camaro, that would be a beautiful GM garage!!!

Is this the plastics company that has gone bankrupt, i've been waiting for a plastic trim for 6 weeks and was told the company that makes them here in Aus has gone bankrupt!!!!

I honestly couldn't tell you, this company is located in Campbellfield right across the road from Ford. I forgot their name but it starts with a 'P'.

Very short sighted.

that IS a V8 under the bonnet. The fact that it runs on 85% ethanol and 15% petrol means stuff all.

In fact it should be a bonus. If Holden's BioFuel set up is anything like Saab's BioPower set up then the engine will make MORE power running on E85.

Still don't want anything to do with BioFuel?

Sounds too good to be true, but i guess we'll wait and see!!! If it does have more power than a regular petrol motor, then heck i'm all for it!! But till i see evidence of it, ill stick with the petrol stuff for now!!

the only thing im worried about ethanol is the fuel is a lot drier, and the top end of the motor doesnt get lubricated enough.

I can't see the RS4 appeal there.....I really tried hard to see it but just can't:p

Considering " IF " HSV build a Sportsback Version they will be half the cost and Just pump out just as much power i can see the Appeal .

Considering an RS4 is close to the $200k mark and a HSV Sports back would come in arround the 70-80k mark .

MY EXPERIENCE ON ETHANOLS IS THAT FUEL CONSUMPTION IS INCREASED...

I like it.. dont really care what powers it.. it's a wagon.. it'll be used to lug stuff around, not for circuit work at winton.. at least in my family that's what'd be for

2 q's.

how much, and when?

LOL, I think the job description you've given the VE wagon is what 99.9% of people buying it will be using it for :)

I think anyone who views any large wagon in a more sporting role than that, is definitely looking at the wrong car configuration !!

Maybe there's some info regarding those questions on Holdens website ??

IMHO Best looking Aussie wagon ever :)

Not for the Commodore, the Commodre sent to Brazil runs on E24 i believe.

the only thing im worried about ethanol is the fuel is a lot drier, and the top end of the motor doesnt get lubricated enough.
yes fuel consumption may be better, power may be better.
but wat about wen u have to rebuild ur top end every 100k or less?

I believe Holden made changes (although i'm not sure what they were) to the engines to allow them to run on E10. I'm sure that these rebuilds wouldn't be needed on something designed to run on such a fuel.

MY EXPERIENCE ON ETHANOLS IS THAT FUEL CONSUMPTION IS INCREASED...

Yes cars that run on Ethanol use more fuel due to ethanol producing less energy than petrol. This is set off my the fact that Ethanol fuels are cheaper to purchase than pure petrol.

I filled up our Saab 9-5 Biopower with E85 for 95 CENTS a litre!

Fully uncovered VE SS Sportwagon.

A few things to note;
Total lack of badging besides the Holden lions
Standard SS trim however it has the SS-V Coloured Dash option.
Coloured dash is only on the top panels of the dash, unlike the current MY8.5 series that has coloured top and lower sections
Brake rotors sitting in the back???

Agree, being a revamped 'TORANA' it's more or less expected to have a V8 :)

Info so far suggests a TT V6 for the top sports variant, hope they include a V8 in there, N/A will do, enthusiasts will fit their own forced induction :D - if they go to a TSI (I highly doubt it) it would make more sense to use the existing 3.6ltr V6 ;)
