Does an engine with an auto box have a fly wheel or is it only a feature when a Manual gear box is fitted????And what is a flex plate??? Just curious tis all Thanks team! Robot:D

An auto does not have a fly-wheel as such...it is replaced with a thinner, lighter and flexible 'fly-wheel' (flex plate) with ring-gear around the edge for the starter motor. Flex plate is technical talk for 'stamped sheet of metal' :)

The torque converter bolts onto the flex plate and makes up the missing mass....thusly...

The flex plate acts like a slightly flexible union between the engine and auto transmission.
Of course...manufacturers can do all sorts of wierd things...so this is just a guide to what is likely.
Here's a fly-wheel..you can see it is more substantial...
