Yesterday marked exactly 18months since i purchased my Astra and tonight i just clicked over 50 000km since i got it. ( only issue is uncomfortable front seats but a slight mod fixed that annoying plastic bit digging into your back )

Which means i average just below 640km a week which is about right considering where i work is 50km each way and i do the drive about 4 times a week plus other countless running around.

its a pity work does not pay for my fuel:boohoo:

So how far do you average a week

at the moment i have just changed office locations so i'm not sure about now...

but in melbourne i was driving 55km each way to work 5 days a week - easy 550km + other driving, which i did a lot of

then when i moved back here to brisbane i was driving 37km eash way to work 5 days a week = easy 370km + A LOT of other driving

in the 17 months i had my corolla i did 54,***km - thank god for leather seats and climate control ohh and the 6 spd manual :D

and none of it was paid for by work - all my own hard earned cash

When you think about it...a car drinks more fuel in it's lifetime than it is actually worth. :(

I worked out the other day, since we picked up the car, just on 6 months now, we have averaged 783kms per week....Almost about to hit 30,000kms, ha ha. LOVE my baby truck. :D

I travel on average 500km a week, but some have been close to 1000km, so filling up twice a week is a regular occurance lol, the one thing i miss about my 1.8 Astra, it's fuel economy!!!

I've done 8000km since May, and that's with not driving it for 3 weeks, so that roughly equates to 650km per week, ouch!!!

9,433km since 5th February
i've had the car for 19 weeks

so on average 325.28km/week
but there were times i went 3 weeks without filling up (400km max.)

I've done 14000kms since 20th of December last year...so roughly about 380-400kms per week.

About 300-350 a week - which I am glad about, I used to do about 700/wk a couple of years ago when I had the Vectra still.

i'd only be doing 100km/week at the moment (if that)

but if you average my k's... lets see

43,000 (km's) / 212 (weeks since bought new) = 200 km/week average

I average 30-35,000km per year......

I've clocked up 1,000km a week on numerous occaisions :)

Luckily for me fuel wise, over the past 7 years the majority of that driving has been done with a Toyota Corolla and recently (past 18 months) with my V6 Cali, both of these very efficient and with very good fuel consumption figures :)

My Veccy C CDXi is now 4 years old and has 155,000km (1 year of this was off the road under a car cover, and I purchased the Veccy when she was 1 year old with 15,000km on the clock)..... hmmm.... 155,000 - 15,000 = 140,000 / 3 years = 46,667km pa or 897km pw. ;)

The reason the Veccy was off the road for 12 months was in my previous life my tool of trade was an AH Astra CD (auto) and in 11 months I put on 96,000km..... hmmm... 96,000 / 11 x 12 / 52 = 2,014km pw :D

Mate, you summed it up correctly with the latter part of your post.... when the Astra was around, I was working 80 hours a week on average (had been doing that for about 4 years), and yes, had no life :o

Things are different now, and the Veccy's average pw km's will slowly come down over the next period of time, as my personal life claws back some well earnt time ;)
