500+kg max. payload, not including the people inside (if i read that correctly)

You can carry more weight in a Barina.

bornwild
22nd August 2007, 10:31 PM
A VW Cabby is a better option for people who actually need to transport a lot of weight.

Holden's safer, sexier, faster ute focuses on surfers and cyclists rather than builders and plumbers, reports TOBY HAGON.

the sound of a big V8 is ten times better than any noise a V12 could make :)

the new ute should be V12 with a weight of 800kg and power of 400kw all for the low price of $25000 + onroad

That is exactly right Donna, hence why I think it is uglier than a hat full of arseholes.... but hey, in my opinion, most HSV things are butt ugly ;)

I like the Ute very much, would consider one but couldn’t justify one.

What does the wagon look like?? Have I missed something??

that Maloo looks tough, will appeal exactly to the buyers that HSV wants to attract, if it looked all nice and soft it wouldn't sell. Needs to look like a muscle car.

DirtyHarry

dont like the HSV one. maybe on the road might look different. but for me going by the photos i like the SS one best.

That's my thoughts too.... the SS one looks more the sports ute than the HSV variant. ;)

The HSV one looks like a wanna be coupe but just can't get it sorted.... too much of a try hard, and the lines are too soft for a sports ute (too american like for my taste). But hey, that's just my opinion. :)

The Wagons look Hot.
But now the Cargo Area looks smaller than a Astra Wagon, I'd be thinking about a SS-V Wagon if they have the room in the Back for 3 Greyhounds like my Current VYII Has.

Seriously each to their own, I agree with everybody else, it looks major horn bags, hell like Matt, I think I want one too :)

Can't wait for the VE Coupe :)

What kind of component Mat ??

You may very well have been looking at something for the VE Coupe, it's definitely on its way........

The ultimate variant of this thing will have the LS7 engine, imagine that with a couple of snails slung on

I wonder if they'll do an AWD version, like the previous Coupe4 ??

btm
7th September 2007, 10:39 AM
how many coupe4's went into production though...?

Wraith
7th September 2007, 11:31 AM
Not sure how many were made, but it wasn't a case of limited production run for these, they built as many as they got orders for.

I've only ever seen 3 or 4 on the road, so they didn't sell well, I think it's because the price was high and they didn't offer any real performance gains over the other models, except in a straight line on a wet or loose surface...being AWD they should've fitted it with alot more power, then it would've been a different story.

They were also only available in auto.

Hopefully if they do it again, it'll be a much better end result.

It was an interior component and I know which model, but probably shouldn't elaborate any more than that.. don't want to give any chance of getting somone in the shit.

The less power was due to the AWD drive train not able to cope with the power.
