Mike Glew used to have one before he sold is Barina. He said it was pretty good... but be prepared to pay $550+ for it!

Ive got the BMC CDA instead, works just as well, you can really hear it sucking away

Hey sunny, looks good. :) Where is the intake? behind the grill? Whats the performance like?

I dont think the BMC CDA would fit in a Barina...

behind the grille ... performance ... better rev range .. a bit more responsive ... sound throatier

jass: sucking noise is not really noticeable ... unless u turned off stereo and minimal traffice but the sound is minimal

Yeah, BMC will not fit in a barina. Went down that path before :)

RAID MaxFlow might fit with a bit of effort.

Pipercross fits but the intake pipe will be a bit convoluted I think.

Other options for an enclosed intake are: Green Cotton twister and dynatwist, or a Taipan if you can find one.

Remember thought there is two sizes for the BMC CDA 85 -150 which is for cars like the astra, or you can get the smaller one 75 -150 which might fit in the corsa

I think the smaller size BMC is only marginally shorter. The main problem I had fitting it in a Barina was that it was just too long tip-to-tip to get between the air flow meter and the headlight assembly. And that is before connecting an input hose to it, which adds another 5 or 10cm to bend it around towards the grill.

It *may* be possible to work it all out but it is gonna be tricky.

Did you try mounting it vertically rather than horizontally?

I guess it may be possible to mount vertically... except that the front wheels kinda get in the way.

I reckon they are a waste of money for turbo'd cars

U can make ur own like Goran and I have and get the same kw's :)

The rev range on my car is already ok with the catback derestricted airbox and the panel filter on.

Might just add another cold air feed to my airbox...

well i have designed my own intake system and works just as good as any on the marked, and im looking into making more and getting some duplicated at a cheap price too.

I swear by original airbox mods with additional cold air feeds...........if you drive your car then lift the bonnet you will realise just how hot the air gets. The airbox proves to be a good insulator against all this hot air

hey Costa, is there a name for that heat shielded piping you used for the intake? Where did you get that, and how much is it roughly?
