Hey guys,

I'm in big trouble... I've pretty much sold my car but the only thing the buyer wanted was for me to re-paint the centre console. So i took it out got my friend to paint it and he has stuffed it up big time. I was just wondering is there somewhere, i could actually buy a new centre console which is not gonna cost me an arm and a leg? I need it quick because the car needs to be sold in the next week.

The centre bit which comes out.. E.g Where the vents are and where the deck goes. We pulled it out and tried to paint it but he's stuffed it up.

What about the stuff off ebay?

your best bet is to get one off ebay. i got mine for 15 pounds (and unfortunately 20 pounds postage) from an ebay store, the guy works at a vauxhall dealership. Postage took 3 days. He was VERY professional, with reciept from the dealership, trackable postage etc etc...

I have one here I am willing to sell. Just the console, does not include the ash tray. Good condition - original from my TS Sedan.

Just curious, but why would the new owner want you to re-paint the centre console ?? was it already done before, or is the original finish deteriorated ??

Probably would've been a good idea to just lower the price a little and get him to fix or re-paint it himself...

Anyways, if you need one ASAP and for the least money possible, your best bet is to search around wreckers, otherwise you'll have to bite the bullet and get one from GMH spares...

I think he needs the whole thing, that chrome part plus the above with the holes for the vents.
