I'm in process of Building one.
The project may get abandoned due to Personal Reasons. But If I finish it,
It will very easily more than 160kw at wheels

do cavalier and calibra have same engine or something????

Nope, Cavalier has a current GM-engine in the Z22SE under another name and the Calibra has a C20LE(T)

Look for the GM "LSJ", made in Germany for the US market only and it's a 2.0L supercharged.

there is no way u'll fit that motor in an SRi not enough room.
but yeah looks like a H.T.

don't forget there's a difference between the chev cavalier and the vauxhall cavalier. the vauxhall cavalier being an opel vectra A, which did have the C20XE and C20LET just like the calibra

The motor is the same size, just with different intake and exhaust.
The US kits for the Cavalier 2.2L won't fit our Z22SE, I checked before with a US manufacturer who made kits for the 2.2L Cavalier prior to the Z22SE (global) being released in the US, but they are working on the new motor. (don't get confused, there's two 2.2L engine series in the US).
Want to do it? read my How To request reply I got, others have done it - Darwin fellow and someone else.

The engine used in that car (which is a concept) is directly related to the 2.2L used in the Astra SRi.

You can tell as it is a 2.2L all alloy DOHC engine.

The only other 2.2L engine used in the Cavalier was an old OHV engine.

True, and I don't know if the new Saturn Ion or Cavlier kits for the Z22SE are ready yet, the J-body engineering reference I talked to wanted a new 2.2 engine to use for engineering new manifold etc.
(not the kits based on the old 2.2 with spark plugs that I didn't notice -doh lol).

The engine above looks like the DOHC Z22SE, current 2.2 SRi.

This is the same engine as in the SAAB L850 - just different displacement in the SAAB.
