Guys

Wanted to get bigger pipes to replace the original tips on the Vectra. Didn't want to do a full exhaust replacement just the silencer and tip I guess.

Suggestions or thoughts? Any recommendations for places in Brisbane

IMHO stick to the oval shaped tips it already has, just get bigger ones of course, that shape really suits the Vecce C tail gate better than round tips....

I've also seen a few Euro examples with twin square or rectangular each side (ie: quads all up) also looked fantastic on the Vecce :)

Ginge (Euro4C) has a couple of round tips on his Black CDXi and they look good

At Autobarn they sell some single tips that branch into two round ones... and look to be finished nicely too (Autobarn Kessels Road, Macgregor). :)

I quite like the trapezoidal ones on the the VXR Vectra but at 60 quid each I think I'll pass.

I liked the idea of '4' and this is what I really wanted but I would believe there is some work to be done on the valance then. I think I'll just get bigger ovals or round ones

P.S. someone please tell me why I'm not getting the instant email notifications? It is set to do so.

This is the VXR tailpipe. Not everyone's cup of tea but I reckon they look the goods.

It would probably suit the Veccy for sure... each to their own.... go for it! :)

Just my 2cents...

The quad look is fantastic if you can pull it off!
I would recommend CES (Custom Exhaust Specialist) at Creastmead. (Very pricey though)
I have even thought about getting the rear valance from a UK Spec SRi, which only has the exhaust cut out on the left side. Then putting the twin tips in, slightly staggered.
(This is how it is set up on my VW Golf GTI)

Is this a standard Valance modified? It looks exactly the same as mine just bigger holes. You mention a standard SRi as only having it on one side that's all.

An irmscher valance and quad boxes would look the nuts

With the SRi rear bar, there would only be a cut out on the left hand side. (Not the right) Hence you would hae 2 tips, rather than 4.

I am not a fan of the irmscher rear valance / quad square tips. Too in your face! I like the subtle mods best! Find what works for you...Then DO IT!!!;)

That's why I had always liked just the VXR ones or some bigger round ones. Will have to get the car to an exhaust shop and try some options.

jus a few hints mate, to get quads tips is easy, most shopd can do the extra cutout, we do them all the time, you cant even tell inot factory unless your under the car. if your thinking of going quads just get a full system, unless one sides going to be a dummy (will loook crap once you start driving the car) you may aswell get a full system as everything from most likely your middle muffler will be replaced and the cost will be like 100 bucks off a cat-back system.

o and full systems are always better to get as add on rear mufflers are usally really drone prone due to lack of gas flow from the std mufflers further up the system.

jus some advice to take aboard.

those quads look awsome thou, haha
