Hi,

I read this from a singapore's opeal fans group. it tells you how to activate test mode for your ASTRA AH. it will tell some figures about your car including the coolant temperature. here is steps,

Activate:

- press 'settings' button once
- press 2nd time and hold for 5-10secs (if radio on, u will hear a beep once test mode is turned on)
- press BC button multiple times to scroll thru the various displays, (for CD model, use the right bottom button of the display instead)

deactivate:

- Press 'settings' button once
- press 2nd time and hold for 5-10 secs(if radio on, u will hear a beep once test mode is turned off)

cheers,

Thats good info, but has been posted and discussed before.
Includes the elusive coolant temp and actual speed (what ever that means) in the sub menus

Tried this today and it didn't work.

Didnt matter if ignition was on or off.

I'll try again tomorrow but might have changed in the AH 7.5 Series SRi

Did you turn the radio or CD on before you started?

I've got the Ign On setting on. When I get in the car and put in the key the cd player auto turns on.

There is no button below the Settings button on the CDC40....?!

Its on the right hand side down the bottom.

There is the Arrow control button in the centre (downt he bottom) with arrows for up down left right then on the left the rectangular button says settings.

As for the SRi2.2 i don't think it will work on that screen set up, i've only seen it work on cars with the CDC40

So that's the BC button....okey I did do that but all it does is change songs/CDs on my CD player....doesn't actually scroll through any settings. :S

I do hear the beep though!

actual speed (what ever that means)

The speed detected by the wheel sensors as opposed to what you see on the dash.
Meaning the dash reads higher than your actual speed on purpose.

Okay got it working.

You need to put the key in, and if radio turns off, turn it on then off again.

Then do the Settings button, then hit and hold it again for 5 seconds... its not so much a beep, but it makes the same noise it does when you leave lights on.

Then you hit the BC button.

and you can scroll through whatever.

Not that it made any sense, and the only way I could get it to go away was turning car on and off.

Most is just numbers and letters, anyone know what all the things stand for?
