I'm seriously considering buying this car when it comes out(if it comes to AU). It weighs 860kg and has the same 1.3jtd from the punto, 66kW and 200Nm with a 6sp auto(paddleshifts).

It's a good looking little car, hope the quality matches the looks and everything else.

I've seen pics of it and it's pretty funky, good 2nd car to hoon around in! But it'll be pricey though being Fiat, I reckon around $16-$18K.

$16k to $18k is a good deal on this car. :)

I'd be happy to pay up to $20k for the 500. Especially if they bring out a wild 'Hot' version of it....like Vectracious said :D

:)

I like that one word.

My hunting has told me to expect a twin turbo 1.4 powerplant in an Abarth. Not sure if this is teh same mechanicals as teh Abarth Punto.

Fiats have a dear place in my heart (currently own 3.. 1 124 spider, and 2 124 coupes.. the spider with quite a few Abarth intentions!).. I was considering teh Abarth 500 when and if we get it, and am anticipating closer to 40K pricetag... well worth buying one, and putting it away....after a few years of fun...

I'm with you Entice....:)

I absolutely loved the original Fiat 500 (and all the rest of those old Fiats too)

I've been fortunate enough to drive all those earlier model Fiats when I was back in the homeland.

This new revamp looks great - twin turbo variant will be very interesting.......

It would be great in the 1.3 oiler to run back and forward to work.

True, I can relate to that, if it's a car you'd never had anything to do with...

It's more a sentimental thing I think with most of us that like it :)
