hey all,
i washed my car for the first time the other day and noticed that the previous owner has polished the car and there is white stuff on the chrome which im guessing is the polish.

Im just wondering wat is the best way to clean the chrome and make it nice and shiny without damaging it.

This is the chrome strip down the sides of the vectra and even the strip across the boot.

Thanks
Josh.

Prepsol (pre-paint preparation solution available from most auto stores) or methylated spirits . . . or good old elbow grease. Try warm soapy water and a microfibre cleaning cloth (available from cleaning supplies stores), I have found them to be a great (easy) cleaning cloth. Don't rub too hard on any painted surface though!
