OA Cruise to / Snow trip 07

here's the register for interest for a snow trip, i tried last year and had a lot of interest, but it didnt end up going ahead.
this is a call out to all the Opelaus members around australia, we can use this as a big meet up aswell, the qld folk will head down thru sydney, and we can meet up with the locals, and onto canberra (queenbeyan) then onto cooma where we can join to any vic and sa members that want to come up to meet, or join in on it.
i wont worry bout too many details for not, just:
date's start of september about 1-6 september
costs are around 1200-1400 approx depending on where you stay (allowing a lil for fuel food ect)

Damn i love snow and although I haven't seen snow since i moved to Aus almost 10yrs ago i wont be coming, even though iId love to. But ill be in Europe in Sept so def no go for me. Maybe next year....

Im gona be doing some traveling in October/November around Aus with my sis an a couple of her mates, think we might get one of them "wicked campers" or i might jus follow them in my Corsa!! wont be able to afford the "Snow Trip" deff savin up for next year tho if i have a hoiday from uni then :rolleyes:

looks like a few are already going, just wrong dates.
the 1st week of september is the 1st week of "off season", thus drops in price quite a bit.
which is when we are planning to go.

this is from lodge21's website.

The Skiers' Package Includes 5 nights 3 Course Dinner Bed and Hot Australian Breakfast, and 5 ½ day Full Mountain Pass.

Twin / Double / Three Share = $825
Groups of 4 or more = $770

ski hire is next door, and people staying at lodge 21 get a 10% discount.
snowboard, boots, pads ect = about $140

all else that you need is, fuel money depends where you are joinming the cruise from, i normally allow about 300 per car from QLD, and have never hit that budget yet, normally 5 tanks all up.

money for lunches, drinks during day or nite ;), extra spending money, national park car permit fee, and i think thats about all.

you will need warm clothes, and waterproof, plenty of spares as they get wet either way ;).
100% wool socks, beanie, balaclava if you wish, sunglasses at least, but better with goggles.

we just tend to drive n hope we are going the right way ;). i know we go past a maccas, a bp, and a s shell :p.
and we drive for ages on a 60mkh zone :(.

well we are thinking of crashing in Sydney for the nite, in which case we'll head thru act mid morning, but depends if we meet up with ne1 in sydney or not.
no idea where to stay or to meet :(.
we are heading down on sat the 8th, to arrive on sunday the 9th.
and heading back the following friday.
