GMH chairman and manager director Denny Mooney, is returning to that States. He will be replaced by Chris Gubbey, currently GM exectutive vice-president in China. Denney Mooney is taking on the role of vice-president in global vehicle systems and integration at GM's headquarters in Detroit.

Nothing adnormal about that. MD's are on contract normally . How long has He been @ Holden ? Couple of years ? The never stay longer then there contract and they normally are given some targets to achieve when they take the role on. Daimler Chrysler MD's normally only stay in Australia for about 2-3 years then move on to the next role.

Before his time in China he was @ Vauxhall Motors UK. HMM interesting.

Peter Hanenberger only left Holden after 4 years because he retired. I'd say he'd still be in the head job now if he hadn't retired. And the fact that he'd been at Holden since the 70's. Let's hope this Chris Gubbey is a car man like Hanenberger was.

They all work on contracts. No Mananging Director stays in one Country for more then 5 years. Look at HSV. They have changed MD's 3 times in the last 2 years.
