Hello all,

Got a gum/lollie stain on my passenger seat. Used ice to take off the majority of it but there is still a mark there.

I went to a place today called "Sungard" and they mentioned i need to get the base of the seat down bceause if they only treat the stain, that area will come out like brand new while the rest of the seat is old. They quoted $40 to do this.

Is this worth it?

OR

I got this stain remover at home. See the pic below.

Mrs Pred stomped bubblegum into the carpet of my Corsa when it was 2 days old.

I used RP7 or WD40 (cant remember which, but has a green can) and it dissolved the gum. It says so on '000s of google pages AND on the can too.

It has left a very slight stain (much less noticable than the black gum 'coin') that would most likely steamclean out but I CBF'd getting that done.
I never reattempted a spray for a second time as it was good enough.

Oh cost is about $4.00

So you reakon i should give it a go myself and if it doesn't work, go get it professionaly done, cause $40 is a bit of money for a 10c piece size stain. and its black on black

I SO read the title of this thread differently

I had a similar issue on my seat. After the ice treatment I used the Meguiars carpet fabric cleaner on it. Came up fine.
