Thought i'd put this question out, to see what people's opinions were. Seeing this example below, do people think it possible to get a brand new AH SRi T, or basically near new (6months old) for 30K driveaway? I know there's the usual cost associated, but driveaway for that price. This one seems pretty close. Any comments welcome

Really hard to get new for that price, I haggled like hell to get the price I was happy with.

Maybe a 6.5 brand new for that price is possible.

What have other people paid, for new or up to 12 months old... if you don't mind me asking

The pictures and the vehicle description do not much up on the carsales ad.
Says that it is a 2.2 SRi in the details, but the photos are clearly of an SRi Turbo (note 18" wheels, front bar, etc).
I would confirm with Penfold Holden before getting too excited.

Yeah details are definitely for a SRI non turbo, better check it up as Poogene2001 said.

LOL anything can be had when haggling is involved and Ben i reckon you can get an SRi-T new for 30k driveaway if you know how to work the dealer!!!!

Having just bought a car (and saving a s***load on it too), i know how easy it is to get what you want, for the price you want!!!!

Since youre buying a new car, best idea is to call numerous dealers and see what they can do for you, then the dealers will compete for the sale, therefore they will keep going lower and lower till you can choose which one is giving you the best deal!!!!!!!!!

Also if youre trading in the Barina SRi, work with the trade in too when bargaining down the price, once they knock as much as they can off the new car price, there is still room to work with on how much they give you for the trade in!!!!!!!

Since i sell the things, I would know.

There is not a chance in hell that a dealer would sell u a brand new AH SRi T for $30k on Road.

Anyone that thinks so is clearly taking more recreational pharmasuticals than they should be.

You may think im on drugs but i saved $7k on my Astra and over $10k on my Calais, it can be done!!!!

I reckon its possible, maybe not a spankers 7.5, but definetely a runout 6.5 or ex demo for $30k driveaway!!!!!!

When i was considering getting one, they were overstocked with 6.5 turbos and they were $32-33k driveaway, its easy to haggle 3k off the price, and to throw in the on roads into it too!!!

Yes it easy to haggle that much off. But an SRi T has a full whack price of Just under $39k on the road.

So getting one that a dealer has advertised for $33k drive away for $30k just aint gunna happen.

There ain't that much money in Astras.

Market value for a MY6.5 is $31,300 apparently. So yeah, obviously one from last year you might get closer to the mark. Only guessing. Just in general im meaning, as in dealer or private
