is this right, ive always wondered about that.. if so did they have the opel engines in them here in aus?

The engines AFAIK were the old Holden Family 2 engines. You are right, the Opel Kadett/Vauxhall Astra Mk2/Daewoo Cielo-Racer is the same model.

there was a red cielo at a cruise I went on a few years ago which was badged as an opel

there was a red cielo at a cruise I went on a few years ago which was badged as an opel

If ya mean a MCCR Cruise. It was a Genuine Opel Kaddet G.
It came from Around Boronia/Bayswater Area and had Daiwoo ADR/Compliance Plates. It eventually Had 4x4 Calibra Turbo Running Gear. And all the "Cali" Running Gear Bolts Straiaght in to a Daiwoo Ceilo.
From Memory it was in Rice 4s or Fast Fours Years Ago(1998-99)

hey yeah it was an mccr cruise, i think it was the good friday cruise in 2002. looks like the guy went nuts on his kadett, good work!
