On the weekend, we at OpelAus Victoria attended the Cruise 4 Charity which consisted of a day at DECA and then a day of show n shine. Just posting up some pics of my car on the track and skid pan. Thanks to Kylie for taking the photos for me. I had one hiccup on the track, had a lose at roughly 100kmh and broke my drivers side mirror.

Any others want to post up their photos, feel free to do so!

Thanks to the members who came along and supported the event.
www.Cruise4Charity.com (http://www.cruise4charity.com/) is a site run in conjunction with OpelAus, GT Car Club (www.gtcarclub.com (http://www.gtcarclub.com/)) and ThatsMyRide (www.thatsmyride.com.au (http://www.thatsmyride.com.au/)). Our aim is to bring motor enthusiasts together and in turn raise money for charity.
The event we had on the weekend was our first event, and was a 2 day event. On the saturday, 38 people participated in a driver education day at DECA in Shepparton. It gave everyone the opportunity to learn more about the characteristics of their cars and their own driver skills in a safe and controlled environment. The skidpan had events such as brake and avoidance, motorkhana and 2 car slalom shootouts. The back track allow people to put their cars around a track, learning car control, how to hit apex's and proper racing lines.

Everyone I spoke to had an absolute ball and came away from this event feeling they learnt a lot about themselves and their cars.

Sunday activities we planned to have a Show n Shine by the lake in Shepparton, however the constant rain affected the whole day.

Our aim was to raise as much money for the Royal Childrens Hospital through raffles, shirt and sticker sales, donations and entry fees for the Show n Shine. We couldn't raise as much as we hoped for due to the rain, but it hasn't dampened our spirits, as we are planning 2 more events for the end of the year (hopefully with better weather).

For those wishing to help out in anyway, please visit www.cruise4charity.com (http://www.cruise4charity.com/). Any help/support is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Pauly
