new engines (103kw), new front end, new prices maybe?

looks like the wagon is up for sale - time to drive a newy and see if the power is any better.

i see it as a bad move mid model, as all the reviews have been done with a lame engine, i doubt they will do more due to the new engine.
so i take it this is the variable vavle timing engine?

i cant notice any asthetic differences though, just the new engine?
and features/price have all remained the same

fine by me though, ill be happy enough with the 103kw 'upgrade'

new front bumper bar, new headlight bezels on lower models, new seat trims, new alloy wheels across the range, new new new.... except not enough power and only between 5nm and 10nm additional torque which is the real disheartening aspect.

i think i need to see a before and after pic because they are looking pretty much the same to me :o

the cdx coupe seems unchanged from what i can tell in terms of trim and such, but i did notice it nolonger gets sunglasses holder apparently....odd.

EDITED TO ADD:- Okay ive just looked at the new ones and the old ones and i can see the difference on the bumper....hardly anything much, but it does make the newer ones look a bit more audi/volkswagen with that dip in the middle around the grille.
the seat trims seem the same everything else looks unaltered on the cdx...maybe theyve changed the alloy's but meh...im not that concerned with them as long as they arent hideous :D

The Astra has always had the dip in the midddle of the Astra, its now just more obvious because of the chrome slats in botht he upper and lower grilles.

i know that, but its more prenounced....before it looked like it was all flat and all on the same level, and now it looks like the dip in the middle pops out more.

Has the SRi Turbo been modified at all, mechanically or aesthetically?

Only the deletion of Magma Red (replaced with Power Red) and the Silver trimming highlights in the dash has been replaced with "Granite" I was told by a dealer 2 months ago. Not sure if all the rest of the console goes piano black as the euros get. Mech the same and the body kit stays the same.

Damn didn't know the new SRi weight 1401!!! Damn.

If that engine was in a sub 1 tonnne car it would be wayyyyy better.

Althought they do very well considering they're that weight.

The SRi Turbo also has a new grille, with verticle bars creating a box effect in the grille along with the original horizontal bars.

the SRi Turbo has round rear reflectors, all other coupes have the little horizontal ones
