Vectra?

Firstly id like to say HI...

My name is carl (obviously from my username LOL) and i own a calibra...

I use clubcalibra and kay has recently refered me to this site to post my calibra unrelated question=D

SOO, my question:

My GF wants to buy a vecta...i think its like a JS model or something she wants (dont know anything about vectas) its about a 98-2001 ish model...that body type sorta lol...

My questions is, what year (within the bodytype mentioned above)/engine/trans is the best to buy? Any info on the diff engines and trans would be appriciated=D

well it all depends on what she is after??
the 2.2ltr manual is quite a nimble car... handles well and has a bit of poke!
the v6 though has loads more midrange torque and has a much better sound to it... the only prob is that in Oz, the 2.5ltrs only came out in auto, and the 2.6 ltrs in manual and auto.

would she prefer a v6 or a 4 cylinder?? the CD version came out with all the bells and whisltes and is definitely the better one as opposed to the GL variant....
