I Was wonder If anyone could give me a roughf estimate on the cost of a water pump + install
Mine has seemed to of developted bearing noise shortly after i had the timeing belt replaced, and no its not alternator bearing noise :p

pretty crap job mate.
i think the pump is around $220 from holden and id say labour would cost you around $200

how long do they last when the bearings makeing alot of noise ? its slowly geting worse.

Mine was replaced just after the belts were done at about $450.

ouch, my cars worse then my x, tyres+ rims $800, timeing belt kit $750, sway bar link pins.. havent priced em but guesing $100, now a water pump $450 all in the last 6 months
couldnt of happened at a better time :)

your water pump is meant to be changed at the same time as your timing belt on the 1.8 to the best of my knowledge -
other wise if it fails your looking at a new timing belt, as well as the consequences of a failed tiiming belt
