Yeah i just got home from there too, great show although my companions werent as keen as me to go around to every car!! My fav has to be the Camaro and the new purple SS what a pair of hotties (to mix in with the abundance of beautiful females working there)!!! Also finally got to see a 3 series convertible, i missed out a few weeks ago to see it!!! I also loved the Alpine 300C even though it really was more suited to Autosalon!!

I missed the Civic Type R so i cant comment (too much time at the holden stand), the 350Z has always been a stunning looking car, the SRi-T 19in wheels look like XR5 Turbo copies and the 3 Series convertible looks pretty much the same as a coupe with the hardtop, both look hot as!!!!

I was there Saturday. Saw all of the ones you took photos of. Those 19's on the SRiT i thought looked really good in the flesh. BMW's entire range, walked right past. If Mercedes can leave open their $387,000 SL55, why is nearly every BMW locked? Bloody snob factor... sorry, bugs the crap out of me. The rest of the entire show was fantastic. Still an enormous fan of the Civic Type R... it really is becoming my favourite out of all of them. Just read the brand new edition of the Top Gear mag. They compare basically every hatch on the market. It's the one the Stig would take home too lol. Favourite car out of the entire show... Mercedes Benz E63. Fantastic

Problem is, the Stig would be thinking - track-day car not every-day car. The thing has to be revved way too hard to perform in every-day situations. i.e too focused for a daily.

I thought the same thing with HSV. We had just come from the Mercedes stand, sitting in all their vehicles, then came to HSV and all locked...

3 series vert Beemer, not that attractive with roof up - totally agree, previous E46 softops, especially the M3 is much better looking !!!

350Z and new Civic ugly - NO WAY !!! I too have never heard that one before (ie: regarding the 350Z) LOL :D although I have stated, IMHO the new Civic is more of a girls car in it's looks and size....my missus quite liked it ;)

I too wanted to get into alot of cars that were locked :mad: I was able to get the HSV GTS unlocked for a while....:)

Worst of these was all the Lambo's couldn't even touch em :mad:

New Camaro frightens me, it just has a very sinister look about it - I reckon it could be used in a new evil car movie - Christine Part 2 :D
It'll go on sale here in 2009 and will have a vert variant as well - pricing will be comparitively affordable also :)

yeah.....i was gonna say the same - that SRi looks so nice. wheels look like they're off a vxr. n it looks lowered.
....almost looks better than the VXR itself!!! then again....must be the silver on silver look.

All new Audi's are jems, but the price tags suck BIG time :(

Ian the missus and I were a bit dissapointed with the look of the new 3 series verts, not as stunning as we expected, your interest, the Eos was a revelation for us, much better than expected and the new solar orange 350Z roadster vert was absolutely mouth watering to say the least......if you've got plenty of other cars around - like me - the 2 seater 350Z roadster is the one to have !

Price of both of these unlike the Beemer are well within reach :)

They are 19inch rims off a Vectra in the UK. The suit the SRi T i think and make it stand out .

Not cheap at $2,500aud as an Optional extra. But look different thats for sure. VXR 18inch are a little different in the design to the 19's. the spoke is different when you look closely.

Wraith did you happen to notice if the Arden Blue VXR had a Piano Black dash or Silver Dash.

And Some dealers have the Hide to say there are no Arden Blue VXR left. HSV have two that i know of. One the Press car and the other being the Show Car.

Shaun, I did check out the VXR, although it was locked and tucked away all alone in one corner of the HSV display area and from what I can remember it had the standard silver dash.
