HI ALL,

AS YOU COULD PROBERLY TELL I HAVE AN ASTRA SXi, IT HAS THE 15 INCH ALLOYS ON IN WHICH HAVE THE 4 STUD PATTERN. I HAVE SEEN THE ASTRA SRI TURBOS WITH 17'S HAVE 5 STUD PATTERN. MY QUESTION IS THE 16 INCH HOLDEN BY DESIGN WHEELS, WHAT STUD PATTERN ARE THEY? WILL THEY FIT ON MY SXI?

Cars with ABS and traction control have 5 studs wheels.

Those that do not, have 4 studs.

I'm pretty sure they can drill the appropriate amound of holes for your car... but you'd have to wait for them to re-order the wheels.

The Holden By Design optional wheels come in 4 and 5 stud pattern 16" wheels.

16 inch rims will make my car sit a little higher

Make sure your rolling radius is the same otherwise you'll have to go get your speedo recalibrated.

it will most likley need to be re calibrated, mine came with the 16's and from what i was told, it was recalibrated @ HBD.....

i had my car lowered on king springs with the HBD rims (now got 17's), dont know by how much, but the front looked a lot better, not like a 4wd....

Ive still got standard shocks, but i've been meaning to change them, when my wallet can afford it....

FYI SXI033, my springs came off that car..... so that gives you an idea of what it looks like with 17's..... so with 16's theres a bit more of a gap under the wheel arch....

How much did they lower by Shao?
also post a pic of your front wheel

WHAT DID IT COST YOU WITH KING SPRINGS? FITTED AND ALL? HOW MUCH LOWER DID YOU GO?

ANS:
With king springs, lowered 30mm, installed, Price would be $320-$420 (any higher and they're trying to rip you off)
Little bit cheaper if you compress original, better if you can find SRi springs (lowered std)
At this height you may not to need shortened shocks at the rear. If you do add $150 (depending on brand)
