Very nice! Great mix of gear. I'm always partial to some big HP V8 stuff now and then.

lol it's an HDT Corsa. It's owned by a member on here.

Yeah John (the owner of that Corsa), is definately not confused. Ask him anything about those Commodores, and he'll have the answer. General Motors have been using the 'Corsa' name since the 60's from what his told me, first used on an old turbo from the states.

Johns HDT Corsa is a turbo, and No. 2 build. Very special car.

I thought his was the N/A 3.0L?

Well the HDT Corsa was just a factory option for people who wanted a HDT kit on their SL or Berlina and couldve been optioned on an N/A and Turbo so im not sure which John has, however his other car, the F20 (which wasn't at the show) is a 3.0 Turbo in which there is only 2 in existence!!

Yeh, it was more or less the 'entry level' for HDT. Included HDT gas pressure shock absorbers, HDT gas pressure strut inserts, HDT front and rear springs, HDT stabiliser bars, HDT 15 x 7 alloy wheels, Bridgestone 225/60s, a front air dam, a sports grill, a rear boot lid spoiler and HDT decals, HDT/Momo wheel and gear knob.

Nice classics there, people in my age group can really appreciate some of those cars, which are classics now, but were a common sight on the roads when I was 18-25 :) and they were as 'done up' as what you see there..... at least my Chev powered Xu1 was :D

Speaking of which all those Toranas brought a tear to my eyes.....ah memories memories :)

Yeh, the white Torana GTR XU1 with the chev badge on the front was powered by a chevy, sounded fantastic! And the green one in the photo above it had a 5.0L efi Holden V8 in it. I want to get a GTR in Chateau Mauve(colour in the photo below) to restore, like my old man had back in the day. :D

Very nice, I hope you do get one :)

I've always thought about getting another, since I sold mine, let me think now - yep it was 16 years ago I sold it and boy do I miss that car....mine was originally fitted with a small block 350 chev, with all the chassis mods and I drove it that way on the roads for 3 years - what a sound, what a neck breaker, what a machine and then proceeded to go nuts with it and 3 years after that and with over 50k spent on it, I was cracking 9's at Calder.

They are extremely hard to find though, not many around these days....

I might get lucky and find a properly modded one (like mine was) or like those above going for sale......
