It's Raining in Brisbane! And...I never knew that in both the Vectra and Barina, when you select reverse gear with the front wndscreen wipers on - the rear wiper clears the rear screen also. This is until you disengage reverse.

It's true what they say...You learn something new everyday! :D

hahaha I learnt that too in my beep beep... but sometimes it's annoying...

I guess it's a rare thing for it to rain in Brisbane... lol

i'm all for the rain, but for the next couple of weeks i've got to work in Maroochydore... from petrie thats 80km each way in the pelting rain

today was awesome the wipers clicked out and stopped running properly, whilst it was bucketing hard enough to justify both front and rear fog lamps... wasn't far off turning on the hazards as i drove!!!

Don't forget to put the Rainex on the windscreen.... awesome stuff

Anything above 80km/h.... no need for wipers *yay*

its in the washer bottle - that way i only apply it when i need it (there is 2 versions) perfect for drought weather, as i don't use it most of the time, i clean my windscreen when i fill up or when i wash the car

Maybe try that myself.... i have always used the one to put all over the windscreen.... helps to keep it clean too :)

Bugger.... either Mazda got it all wrong, or the driver is still to get accustomed to the nuances of the Mazda. :p

The Vectra is a weapon in the wet, and yeah I know it is NA, but Auzvectra's Turbo has not a problem in going past the Veccy

I wonder................... bring on the rain, as we need it

I dont think mazda got it wrong...with hardly any torque steer and a LSD...things couldnt be better...they have it RIGHT

Its just getting off the lights...1st and 2nd with variable power and torque helps...but you can still slip if you hit the pedal hard while launching.

Once your away....nothing holds you back and it carves through water like a hot knife through butter.

I would prefer 225 instead of 215 tyres....but hey....the way it chews tyres...wont be long till they need replacement.

I dont think i would have a prob passing the Vectra either :D

Hmmm.... now I am really confused....

First the Mazda "isn't very rain friendly"......

And now "nothing holds you back and it carves through water like a hot knife through butter"?
:wtf:

And it chews tyres.............. sounds like a sweet chassis set up to me

Oh, and maybe you won't have a problem passing the Vectra, considering you have a lighter car, higher kw, and more nm of torque.... seems like a no brainer to me.... but it somehow doesn't quite translate into a no brainer in the real world.... not to the level it should. I wonder why

But glad you like your ride Dug.... that's what makes the world go round. If everyone wanted the same car.... how boring would that be :p

What Donna said.... but hey, the Veccy can lift up her skirts quite nicely, and is rather deceptive in her pace :)
