went to the brissy motor show today...i was a bit disapointed because it seemed very dull this year and they didn't put much of an effort in...most of the cars were kinda just dumped there and yeah...not good.

good points...well the H3 was very impressive in the flesh...also very comfortable...the ferrari f430...oh yeah extremely nice...the gallado spider was better looking in the flesh...and the mercialgo was also extremely impressive...both with "LOOK AT ME I'M A LAMBO!!!!!!" yellow paint jobs....the subaru stand was the most impressive tho...and the staff were also very helpful...and the holden stand was also great...the new commodore is fantastic! definately the best holden ever...i also visited the Personalised plate stand where i found out that my girlfriend is actually getting me one for my birthday :D so that was an awesome suprise...but i'm going to start another thread about that...

so all in all...the motor show was a bit dull...however they did manage to throw in a few surprises...unfortunately i wasn't able to get any piccies as my sister borrow my camera and didn't recharge it :S so when i got there i took 3ish pics and then it died...so yeah sorry peeps...

have fun...stay safe

I went on Saturday night, and i wouldnt call it dull. None of the exotic cars really impress me. I didnt even look at them apart from the Lotus display. I'd rather look at all the other car makers, as they are slightly more realistic, budget wise that is :)

I was impressed by the Ralliart Colt turbo that had been done up especially for the show. The Triton on 22's. The SRiT that had the optional 19's (that i didnt know was even an option). I even sat in the R32 Golf, now that impressed me! :D :D

I thought that most displays were very bright and had glossy floors to shine and high light the cars, which is more so what it is all about.

I am looking forward to next year now :)

well i guess by dull i meant that i didn't find it as interesting this year...i spose because this year i wasnt actually looking for a car to buy. but anyways that was just my opinion...it was definately colourful...but yeah i dunno how to describe what i'm saying....

I was impressed because I saw my friend Dean at the Honda stand, where he was working :p

and, I liked the Golf R32, and the Range Rovers *drools*

My first time going, so I cant compare, but I loved it - would go back for sure!!!!

good points...well the H3 was very impressive in the flesh...also very comfortable...I was let down by the H3. I think it looks nice, but I was disappointed with the sheer amount of plastic stuck on it. The entire front end, save the bonnet, is plastic. The flared arches - plastic. EVERYTHING INSIDE - plastic. :(

The rear suspension - LEAF SPRINGS

It's got me guessing now which chassis they took to make it. I have a feeling it once belonged to a "pick up truck" given their choice with the rear suspension.

Things don't get much better up the scale either. The windows were down on that black H2 in the Corvette stand when I was there last Friday, so I got up on the sidesteps and stuck my head in the driver side - the leather smell was nice, but when I knocked on the dash - OMFG - my CEIII Lancer had a sturdier dash than that! I could deform it by pressing on it!

Very disappointing...

and we all know Lancer's are made with the cheapest plastics known to man! :p

Hahaha, well as much as I no longer like Mitsubishi, I have to admit their build quality has risen a fair bit since the days of the CE :)
