Those on the mexican cruise on saturday might have heard me mention the staple I found in my tire. I took it to the tire shop on sat morning and the dude told me it was unable to be repaired. This was again confirmed by 2 other tire places today.

No biggie... I am a little pised that I have to replace a tire that has only 2 and a half thousand K's on it, but shit happens, and it cant be too expensive can it?

YES it can.... To the tune of 280 clams....

Well, after picking myself up off the floor, I got them to order me one, and went back to work to investigate the tire that I took to be some dodgy thing they wack on.. turns out its Dunlops flagship tire at the moment.

So much for the shitty tires from factory. Holden realy is looking at the small details of their "sporty" offerings.

Not to kick you while your down or anything, but why didn't you just replace with the spare tyre? even if it was on a stock rim you could have swapped the tyres.

I went to a few different places... 280 fitted was the best anyof them would do.

The spare isnt a 16 inch and its some dodgy "spare" only tire.

Thanks Sunny, But I was only after one tire. If I was replacing them all I would have gone a different brand. But as the other 3 only have 2500k's it would be a bit of a waste.

didn't bother rotating the tyres eh? I still got about 80% tread on my 15's and i had them on for about 40,000km. I rotated them every time i had the car serviced.
