I'm sure that, going by more recent media reports of Saab's design and manufacturing operations being moved over to Rüsselsheim, that the little white number shown below is actually made by Opel, albeit with a Saab logo.

Not bad at all, eh!

Yeh it's a very nice design concept, but it is pretty much just that... a concept. Very unlikely that it will go into production, although some of the styling cues and features will influence future Saab models.

You know I am so over concept cars...just make the real ones better and get on with it.

Just like the fashion industry they throw all these exotic rags down the catwalk, that no-one will ever buy...pointless really.

Hmm depends how you look at it. From a automotive manufacturers point of view it is a way to get coverage at a motor show, free promotion. Also it enables a manufacturer to show off what it's designers are capable of and allow design cues to be tested in the public arena to test reaction to a possible future direction in styling and innovation.

Yeh it is, it's not new. I don't think NXA-16H was saying it was, just suggesting that Opel production facilities could build Saab vehicles in the future.

To me it looks like a corvette crossed with the batmobile from the first film and the rear end from a DB9. Still I wouldn't say no

I didn't attend last year's Sydney Show, so I didn't even know it was on display here.

I'd still own one though. I particularly like its rear end.

Looks hot :)

But yeh, damn shame we just keep getting teased with all these concept cars, their production equivalants end up losing much of the styling of the concepts due to costs.

BTW Matt, love the VE coupe concept you've done. just needs to have a lower silhouette and sharper rear window and she's all horn bags ;)

I do hope Holden will release one in 2008 :)

Working on it. lol Just takes a little more time.:D Looking at increased windscreen rake and tapering the roofline.

That'll look sweet when it's all done :)

Maybe even add the LED tail lights at the rear and then submit it to GMH and tell em to get working LOL :D

Well Saab does pride itself on its aeronautical heritage, don't they.

Its resemblence to a DB9? Maybe the rear end.

And a collectionof assorted poos?... Well I won't even sniff that one.

You know what they say: Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

Do with that little proverb what you will.
