JB's comments.. i dont really care if you dont want to listen..

Potenzas are always a good tyre choice..

Yoko - i expected this to top the test.. but did really well, $10 cheaper than the Potenza.

Falken- another value of money product from Falken... good choice for those on a budget

Sportsmaxx- dissapointed at the results, i would have thought it would be top 2, considering its a pretty pricey tyre and OEM choice on alot of sport cars.

Pirelli- not suprised that this $$$$ tyre didnt do well.. never seen a recent Pirelli do well... just because a tyre is $$$$ and OEM on Porsches/BMW M5s..............

Federals- i have these tyres on the rear of my SRI turbo 215/40/17... i always knew they were crap, now its confirmed. The previous owner put them on for the RWC when i purchased the car.. they arent a good tyre, but not bad enuff that i will throw them out when they have plenty of tread left, speaking of which, after 45,000km on the rear, my god, they look like they done 10,000 as there is 85% tread left, everyone thinks they are brand new.. at least there is an upside to having poor grip and high tyre noise = extended tyre life.. i expect to do 120,000km at this rate. I'm uncertain if this is a good thing or bad thing :|

Nankangs/Linlong/China/Taiwan/Retreads/etc.. if you live in melbourne please dont drive on these, not that i give a fu*k about your safety, but i dont want you to crash into me.

thank you very much.

Yeh I recieved this mag for Chrissy today, was an interesting read the tyre test. Definately a fan of the Falkens, was a fan before seeing these results. I've got Pirelli's on currently and I wouldn't rave too much about grip levels but they are a fantastic wearing tyre, even when pushed. Will easily get 60000km out of them, but will probably have new wheels before then anyway.
