Hey everyone,

Saw this article on a website. Its seems about a month old, but still pretty cool. It seems what Holden need to realise is that people MIGHT actually want to purchase this vehicle. We've got the Astra VXR, and seeing how small car sales are booming (along with hot hatches), it seems crazy we haven't heard anything about it yet. We should let them know!! Have a look at the article, post your thoughts...

Yeah, sure does look like a miniture AH Astra, that's a good thing :)

The new Astra, Vectra and now this new Corsa all look too much alike, especially the front end, it's a good look, but more of a difference between models would be better

It'll be quick enough for people to say "WTF was that?"

Depends on Price. Be quicker then the SRi T AH as its lighter then the AH. Be keen to see it added to the range. But if its the same price or more then the SRi T its a hard case for HSV to sell here.

VXR is Justifable as it is Quicker then the AH SRi and has more Standard Features.

Tough call for HSV.

It looks ****ing hot!! Damn i hope we get it here. Make this a huge thread... get heaps of responses. It's what they need to see. Wish they had've put driving lights in the bumper, to sort of complete the look; every single other VXR/OPC has them!! All i can say is..

biggest mistake Opel/Vauxhall made was not making the Corsa C GSi

Holden no longer use opel for their barina range so there be no chance of that hitting Australia. As for looks its ok no out standing doubt if it would sell good here as every one here wants cars for next to niks...

every one here wants cars for next to niks...

Which is good because we are the consumer not the retailer. (But then again we are being trained to consume)

Maybe people are starting to see that value for money, features and a vehicles retail cost dont necessarily go hand in hand.
eg 2 cars with the same specs from 2 manufacurers and $000s of difference in cost.

Or an option, eg. cruise control, which basically requires a new stalk arm($100) and an electronic 'switch' turned on via tech2 as everything else is already there, that is NOT available on the spec you want and would cost $00 more to get a aftermarket fitted.

I would like to see the final cost on Chris R's SRi conversion (excluding labor) up against the RRP of the 3D SRi (Fine it doesnt have warranty, but it should, all things considered)

agree... it will have to be HSV Corsa VXR otherwise customers will take the Daewoo built Barina instead...

probably if the Astra VXR sells reasonably they will think about releasing HSV Corsa VXR, otherwise there is a little hope of ever having it in Australia (shame...)

It would be my next car if the Corsa was still out here, going to have to settle for the Astra SRi Turbo instead I think. lol
