I've been looking for one of these for ages now, but finally sourced a brand new one. This is an M32 6 speed gearbox that GM use in the Astra Vxr (opc). It will be fitted soon to my car which also has an LEH engine (opc).

There is also a ATB type lsd, lightened flywheel and vxr clutch going in at the same time.

Main problem is the drive shafts as the H splines (gearbox side) are different to the G (hub end) and slightly longer too. So it may mean a set of custom driveshafts going in.

Indeed it is - and of course the minor point that there are less than 90 888's left, and a few thousand vxr's  on the road.

There is also the point that nobody else has - and being the first to modify a mk4 coupe/zlet in such a way.

The main reason is the strength of the gearbox vs. the F23 though - I'm already way exceeding the 230lbs ft torque that this box was deisigned for. With the upcoming 350-400bhp - and at least as much torque, the F23 would undoubtedly turn to mush  - The 320lbs ft of torque that the M32 will take is also being eceeding already (325lbs ft) - but it is the strongest 'box they have.
