Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me

1. Where can I can get an Opel Blitz badge for the front grill for an AH astra.

2. The Holden Lion badge on the back of the AH Astra CDX Coupe, does this badge have guide pins. Basically if the badge is removed will it need to be replaced or can it left empty.

3. What is the most anyone has lowered the current astra VXR without any rubbing issue. I have the astra cdx coupe and have recently ordered the HSV VXR wheels. any recommendation on how much the car can be lowered with out issues.

Thanks guys

PS. If you are considering euro plates for your astra stop considering and order.

On the Astra Coupe, there are no locating pins in the rear central badge. On the lowering issue, the VXR's and SRi's are already lower than standard CD's or CDX's.

hello there.

To confirm, there are no guides / pins or anything, currently i'm de-holdenised and no badge on the rear at all, except my Irmscher badge :D

On lowering, i put 20s on there with 225 tyres (wish i would of gotten 245s). With the 225/30R20 configuration, i've lower my car 2.75" on the front and 2.15" on the rear and there is NO rubbing what so ever, and i can turn my steering on lock and NOTHING rubs. The guy at K-mac (springs) said if i go any lower on the front it'll start to rub with hard lock and the back would look stupid.

have a look here for some photos - old ones though

You can't just buy the badge, you need to buy the whole grill assembly. Do a search on Ebay.

If you HAVE to buy it from Melbourne, then Carshine is your only place, but I really would advise against it unless cost isn't an issue... If it's like the facelift Barina grille, yes the badge can be removed BUT you will still have the black plastic lion outline left behind that the badge is mounted on. If you want to do it properly you will need to get a new Opel grille as well.
