Hi all from China, I'm British but living and working in China at the moment :)

I own three Astra mk4's and a Frontera suv which are all in the UK. I have a 2.0Di (turbo diesel), a black coupe turbo and an 888. The 888 is a special edition that was built by tripleeight engineering in the UK to celebrate 4 consecutive year wins in the BTCC. They are based on the coupe turbo and only 100 were made.

The bodykit, spoiler etc are std fit for the 888. Lambo doors were fitted by myself as was the updated wheels and brakes. Headlights, rear roof spoiler and mirrors are also an upgrade.

This is how it used to look pretty much as standard...

hey mate, love your work!

isn't the mk4 t8's engine the same as a GSi?

Always thought the difference of the mk4 was purely cosmetic.

Nice looking car tho, wish we got the coupe version here!

Stock power is 197 bhp 183lbs ft torque form the Z20LET engine - same as the GSI/SRi-T.

Mine currently runs 290bhp and 330lbs ft torque with a transplanted Z20LEH engine, same as in the Astra VXR. It is being worked on at the moment at Courtenay Sport in the UK. Power will be 350-400bhp dunno about torque!

Nice mate. It's interesting how 888 Motorsport use GM products over there in the touring car series whereas over here in Aus they use Ford.

i beleive we get both the 197hp and the 200hp engines over here, holden state 147kw, but they dyno at 118kw and 121kw at the wheels.
so it would seem the 141kw would be the 118kw @wheels, and the 147kw would be the 121kw @ wheels.
just a theory.
we have both k03, and k04 turbo's over here, which i would guess that the 121kw@wheels is the k04, as my dyno says, and i have the k04, as well as turblue, not sure about any1 else but.

true, the new 1's look the same, but the only real difference between the g 1's is the roof line drops earlier in the coupe, same floorplan ect...

Very nice, you must be homesick when you're in China! I think they have Opels there, although the Audi's and VW's are far more common there...

Lovely car there !! love it, definitely the pick of the bunch of the 'tin tops' of the Astra G range ;)

Damn, damn shame, they never brought them into Australia !

Love the mods, ICE install looks fantastic and Lambo doors is something I've seriously considered on both my Cali and Astra for years, if only we had more local expertise in this area and if only Opel had used bolted, instead of welded door hinge assemblies, I would've already had them installed :)
