I am living on a small Island and 1.6 engine with 105hp is good for my needs :)
No roads to speed up so i'm enjoying the "topless" driving and the sunny weather ;)

Sorry for not posting the pics untill now... Promise to post them soon !

Nice to meet you guys :D

How'dy mate!

Most cars in Europe for that matter are up to 1.8L.
A 2.0l engine is considered to be a large engine in Europe.

yasou ki esena mr corsa :)

Its true what you re saying about 1,4L cars in Greece
I dont know why... Maybe for the gas economy or the low prices...

me too, i was like to buy a 1.4 because the island is small but i prefer the 1.6 for the ballance of speed - L/100klm - and cost of service, insurance e.t.c ;)

I think that in Greece, cars are more expensive than other Countries... Is it true?

Xairete Beasca!! :D

Yeah, when I was there a couple of years ago - most Astra's (and a lot of other small cars) were all 1.4 - I think its to do with the tax system - bigger engine - more rego/tax you have to pay.

I was telling my cousins in Greece that Dad drove a car with a 3.6L engine in it, and it freaked them out (considering all I would hear over there was "Einai xiliari re file??" :p )

Anyway - Kalos Orisate BeAsCa :D

Po po, so many greeks here lol

Kai vevaios milao ellinika anasta...

Rodos is nice, my best friend here in Australia's parents are from Rodo...

Pred, we might be xorianoi lol

...and yeah, its due to the tax and also cost or running a bigger engine car, in comparison the cost of fuel is similar to us, however when u consider what perentage that is of the average wage, its no comparison whatsoever!

There's lots of xorianoi around here!!!! :D

Good point about the wages, considering how much things cost over there, I'm surprised that people can afford 1E/L fuel - I think the base wage is something like 35E a day!!!!

Of course there is also a lot of syntaxi (pension) rorting going on as well... dodgy greeks!!

Yasou,

Where in Rodos are you from? My Dad is from Malona and I spent a couple of years there in Faliraki in 97 & 98 working in the clubs during the summer.
