View Full Version : Light on ignition? As difficult as first sex!!

The problem with my ignition switch reminds me about my first sexual experience.

I dunno about you, but I found my first sexual experience to be VERY difficult and VERY scary.

 It was pitch dark...

 I was nervous...

 I was all alone...

Lol!!! :D

Seriously, trying to get my key into the ignition at night in the dark is similar, coz there is no light around the hole to guide you. It's like... fumble... fumble... ahhhhhh.

It is an 02 Astra Convertible.

 Does anyone know if there is SUPPOSED to be a light? Is it a blown bulb? Or was it never a feature on this car? In which case I am doomed to continue fumbing in the dark.

Cheers,

Jerry

Eddie Murphy voice "Do you want a shoe-horn or somethin'?"

Its night, i turn my headlights on, so the dash gives me light. But i dont need to do that anymore, just know how to get it in the hole...

I'm pretty sure the Astra G's did not have a key illumination light regardless of which model it was.

Like Dave, I never have trouble finding the (key)hole either. *Waits for Freudian remarks*

But oddly, I can't remember whether the keyhole in my Vectra is illuminated or not.

Paste some fur around the key hole - this may help you.

i just can't believe you guys aren't using protection

all it takes is one dirty keyhole, and BAM! there goes your keyless entry

lol. Just like sex, try it a few times, get the hang of it in the dark :) I don't need any guiding, for my key or otherwise

Missing the hole and sticking it in the slot, near enough is NOT good enough.

Yeah just leave the light on, or buy a torch, could become handy considering u have trouble finding holes in the dark!!!

HA! no comment...

yes this is true, iginition barrels in Astra G and Astra H do nat have the light.

you could probably make one out yourself, the light i am talking about, a small LED would to the job...in finding the keyhole.
