nice ride height on the wagon, and nice 17"s. i think it must be a turbo version.. at least that's what the RHS badge on the wagon boot looks like, and aswell, the tailpipe is now visible (twins on teh hatch look great)

i wonder how hard would it be to get that twin tail pipe setup on my current (2005) Astra H ??
from what i can see the tail pipe is very very close to the actual bumper bar of the car...

Mechanical changes aside, i'd say thats one lame "update".
A few chrome strips and different air intake cover panels?
And in Europe the astra is more than 3 years old!
Im an H owner, and i could barely spot the difference!

There's probably more revisions under the skin... engineering tweaks more than aesthetic alterations.

Look at the Astra G, it was on sale in Australia for , what was it, something like 7 years without a facelift. Opel never does big facelifts.

I think facelifts only bastardise the original design.

I think that's how any manufacturer who aims for a good brand image and repeat customers does it.

It's about trying to keep the car reasonably fresh, without destroying resale values. Look at BMW/Merc/etc - most of their models barely change over the model life - this means the earlier cars look 'newer' for longer, hence maintaining resale.

It seems to have worked for the Astra. There aren't many cars out there that can still pull half their original price when they're 5 or 6 years old - but the TS does.

Yer i noticed the differences but they were so minor. I wouldn't say no to getting one but my tounge isn't hanging out of my mouth.

other than the twin tailpipes it really isnt that much better.... or that different, but then why would you change an already HOT looking model?
